Debara Zahn opened Riesco, Inc. as one of the pilot projects in 1985 with the Department Human Services in Minnesota. DHS was wanting to move residents from institutional settings to homes in the community, to mainstream with community life on a daily basis.
What started as one home has grown to nine Group Homes and two Individual Homes with Support. We are a small provider compared to some of the others, but we are large with dedication, compassion and
support for our residents.
Being a part of the support team for each resident is an integral part of our service. Riesco, Inc. will work with our clients and their other team members to ensure that they are happy in their residential placement. Riesco, Inc provides as much or as little support as needed to create a successful living environment for each resident.
Our first client moved in with us in 1985 and we still have this resident; since then, we have grown from supporting one resident to supporting 39 residents in total. We like to believe when a resident moves in with us, they into their forever home.Â
